Plugot Detailed Masterplan

UID Planning

The Plugot Masterplan envisions a new city that lies between Kiryat Gat and Ashkelon, adjacent to a train station in Southern Israel. The masterplan is the first UID-based parametric city plan commissioned by the Israeli Ministry of Construction and Housing. The plan explores the needed balance between the delicate and restrictive programmatic needs of Orthodox communities in dense urban settings and the functional and spatial aspects of a contemporary modern city with high density residential typologies, transport infrastructure and complementary public needs.
