Approach
SHAGA ARCHITECTS is an architecture, planning and computation practice based in Tel-Aviv. The studio brings together a well-rounded set of expertise, combining cutting edge international experience with a meticulous care for details and construction in both the global and local design markets.
Partners Gary Freedman, Shany Barath, and Liat Muller are architects and computational specialists educated in Yale University in the US, AA/Architectural Association in London and TUDelft in the Netherlands. With a pulse on the current international architectural scene, Shaga Architects presents a strong and experienced team of designers set to promote forward thinking architectural solutions, the application and the development of custom-made technologies dedicated for quality design across scales (interior, architectural, urban) and the conviction to produce projects tailored to our clients’ needs and aspirations.
The approach of the office is based on the team’s experience and interest in construction tech innovations both in practice and academia. Our work embraces change and uncertainty as constructive design drivers and propagates interactive, adaptable, and highly coordinated solutions for a dynamic market.
We develop our own computational tools for design as well as deploying state of the art BIM methodologies on various projects and scales. We carefully define the feasibility of each project according to financial, social, and environmental parameters and craft clear design models which help us control, plan and realise our visions into a reality.
